S.O.U.L

Pastor Kay Kiong from CEFC preached on Nehemiah 4:7-13 yday, on being alert, being on guard.

One thing he shared on was guarding our soul against exposure to vulnerability or attacks from the evil one. To do so, we need to ask ourselves these questions:

1. S - Sins: Are there sins in our lives?
2. O - Obstacles: Are there obstacles that prevent us from drawing close to God?
3. U - Unchecked emotions: Are we susceptible to outbursts of unchecked emotions?
4. L - Lies: Are we believing in lies?

We need to guard ourselves before we fall prey to attacks, before we allow ourselves to drift from God, before we succumb to our sinful human nature.

"In Christ Alone" was one of the songs sung during worship....

"No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
'til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I stand"
