Random Matters

Just some random ramblings.

My grandmother has been having heart pains. She have had a heart bypass a few years ago...but the pain is back. Last night she felt a sudden pain and had to take a heart attack pill. My aunt brought her to SGH A&E today for a check-up. Thank God there is no need for her to stay in the hospital. My mum has been very worried. She couldn't sleep last night, and she keeps having this bu4 xiang2 de4 yu4 zhao4. Everytime she talks about my grandmother's medical condition, she'd start tearing. She has this feeling that my grandmother wouldn't live past this year. (Now i know where i get my pessimistic genes from...) I keep assuring her that God has His plans, He will take care of her. But i guess when someone is old, one must be mentally prepared for their departure as well. Thinking about it saddens me greatly too.

yday i went to Pulau Semakau with some of the Engineering kids. Was quite disappointed coz we didn't get to visit the mangrove areas..just the land refill ponds. b.o.r.i.n.g. But I took some photos though, since I figured I'd probaby NEVER go there ever again. :P

A windmill that generates electricity for street lights. Beautiful lallang. Beautiful skies.

I cooked dinner for my parents on Vday. made thai-style chicken. At first it wasnt cooked... so i re-cooked it. some youth called me to discuss something....and erm... i forgot about my chicken. so it became over-cooked. i.e. chao ta. (WZ!!!! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!! :p ) sigh. nonetheless, at least the veg and soup were consumable. Besides, its always the thought that counts la..... rite? I dunnoe why, but the more I cook, the lower the standard gets. When i first starting cooking many years ago..my food was actually GOOD.... but like the more I cook, the worse it gets. sigh.

Usually I'd spend one evening in the week reading through my gals' Weekly Reflections. I usually browse through them quickly whenever i receive them on Sunday, but I'd spend one evening during the week commenting on them. Yesterday, when I got home from sign lang class, i just felt like going through their weekly reflections. So I sat on my bed, and read through them, leaving little comments and questions. =) Its kinda fun.. sort of like reading a blog..just that its erm...written sort of blog. Of coz, the more they write and share, the more i'd comment on it. Sometimes it feels like i'm marking exam scripts. heehee
