Options:
1. Tues: Volunteer to teach English tuition to hearing-impaired children at Wesley's Ministry of the Hearing Impaired.
2. Wed: Attain a Certificate in Basic Counselling.
3. Thurs: Attend Advanced Sign Language class.
Even though I know all 3 options fall on different days of the week, thus there shouldn't be a dilemna here ... but going for all 3 means three weekday nights will be burnt. That's quite a lot..especially considering that I need a night off for my personal time, and another night for socialising with my friends, and another night to have dinner with my parents... that doesn't leave many weekday nights to actually... stay home and chill and rest. Plus the fact that I'd need to organise 7 School Camps this year.. each camp lasting for 3D2N... that would be more weekday nights gone down the drain.
Of coz, option 3 is a MUST. I've waited half a year for the advanced class to commence coz of the lack of number to form a class..and FINALLY we can start AS1 classes this year! though i'm not really confident that i'd be able to pass, as i just managed to scrap through IS2 (Intermediate Stage 2) by 1 mark..... and that was mainly thanks to the graciousness and mercy of the tester (heh) ..i'd really need to buck up and be more conscientious in studying for my AS1 classes. Afterall, it is my intention to complete AS1 and AS2 by this year. I don't think that's impossible.
And thus, it would make sense to opt for option 1 too... coz tutoring the kids would allow me to interact with the hearing-impaired and improve my signing by communicating with them. Plus, i'd finally be volunteering..which is something i've always wanted to do, but never had the guts to do it. Just that... i've never given tuition before..and never received tuition before (except for the informal ones by my sister...and for "A" level Maths..bleah) ...and what if i screw up and the kid gets even lousier results than before?!!!!!!! such great responsibility!
as for Option 2 ... i think it'd be a baby step towards being a "specialised" mentor in the fellowship. To be equipped with counselling skills is always a good thing to have...not like as if anyone is gonna bring their problems to me to solve them... but i think it'd inculcate good personal development skills such as listening, problem-solving etc..which will surely in some ways, enable me to become a more effective, purposeful people-oriented person.
so hmmmmmm.. what shall I do.

well, I agree that it sounds very packed to take up all 3. If the counselling course is not urgent, then why not wait to do it during one of your signlanguage class intervals or after you become the signlanguage guru? :-)
yes..i already with what jie say(though I do not know who is jie)..anyway I will go for the Option 2 since thats what I always wanted to do..and also perhaps finally I got something 'faster' than you..haha..
