Grey Gang

Last Sunday the gang met up for a short get-together over Jap food at Sushi Teh (Vivocity) because it was Xinyi's bday. Bday celebrations for us are not really extravagant events, where we get cake and all that sort of stuff, but we'd try to celebrate it by spending time together, a small gift and perhaps a treat. Of coz, there are times we forget one another's birthday... but well.. 7 years does cause certain memory lapse. hee.

the 5 of us took the same subject combination in jc. Lit, Geog, Maths and Econs. Of coz, not all 5 of us took all 4 subjects. Me for example, didn't do econs. But we were basically the geog gang, while there were others in the class who took theatre studies and others who took history. I guess we all made it good for our "A"s as we went to Uni, abeit different unis and different courses. 2 of them went into aki, 2 of them went into business studies. and urs truly chose arts and soci.

1 of them is now working at an aki firm, working on projects that involve designing rich people's bungalows, and private condominiums. 1 is applying for aki jobs in the UK. 1 works in the HR dept at Standard Chartered. 1 is going to teach in a convent school.

I think its amazing the paths in which life takes us on. I think its amazing how the 5 of us with different personalities, interests and lifestyles managed to become friends and remain friends over the years. Some are into outdoor sports (there's wonderful shereen who's a super qualified lifesaver who goes for tons and tons of competitions worldwide!), some are into the night scene (clubs and pubs. :)), some are just stoning at home (heh heh), some are into travelling to exotic beaches and sea sports, some are into buying Agnias B bags (haha) ... well... everytime we meet up to share what's up with our lives I do get rather fascinated at the different various things we are busy with.

I think that's what keep the friendship interesting.

It's really quite rare that the 5 of us can actually meet up, so tho' it was only for a short while, it was nice to catch up again. =)
