Last week, there was a pre-camp briefing for a leadership camp in 2 weeks time. Besides the 4 student facilitators, the other people involved in the camp are 2 activity co-ordinators and 4 teacher trainers. I'm not well acquainted with the 4 teacher trainers... though I've met them on a few occasions during the leadership training for staff, and some related meetings. I've got to admit that my impression of them ain't that great.
The pre-camp briefing was the 1st time the different group of facilitators met one another, and the 1st time the students met us and vice versa.
After the briefing, one of the student facilitators emailed me, cc-ing the other 3 student facis .... part of the email said this:
"The teacher facilitator why so unfriendly??? haiyo.. They look at us like one kind sei.. I mean the 4 new teachers.. Wallau! we gone through all the blaze u knw.. Herh!! Sian~.."
I totally understand what he means. Because I felt it also.
I can only advise them to do what they are supposed to do, and the teachers will be able to see for themselves their capability, and also, to perhaps give the teachers a chance to know them better.
