an ideal work day

I'm having one of those A+ work days, not considering the fact that i'm actually at TCC citylink typing this now while eating my fav sandwich (Surf-in Fantasia) and drinking my Iced Honey Latte. ;)

First half of the day was spent working. drafting out a letter for my boss, and settling some other admin stuff required by the school.

Then I brought a class of business students for their dining etiquette class at NTU Alumni Clubhouse. They can really be quite nonsensical at times, but I really enjoy sitting in their classes, and laughing at all their silly comments. "Cher, if want to fart then how?", "Cher, must pull out chair for the girl when she stand up ar? what if she very fat and stuck in her chair?" ... and thousand and one weird questions u've never thought about. These kids would ask them, drawing laughter from their social etiquette teacher and the rest of the class. I had a blast of time, watching them learn how to dine properly. it was hilarious. Even when they were doing their practical, some kids were trying to cut the bread and the crumbs fell all over the table, and they were trying to sweep it to the floor and under the table. The restaurant didn't provide napkins, so they were using the table cloth as napkins. It was embarrasing in a funny way.

Anyway, the class ended earlier, and rejecting a lift from my supervisor, i walked with the kids to the MRT station where they were commenting on their language teacher. These bunch of girls would always bully the chinese teacher, but as they were sharing with me, they actually recognise that the teacher has been putting in effort to make the classes interesting. I had a nice time conversing with them on the train.

They were going home to change for their outing to the esplanade later.

We've organised an outing for them to watch Dim Sum dollies later. And the kids are really excited about it. They kept discussing about what to wear (heels, dress, pants, shirt) ... i wanted to laugh at their excitement and tell them, no need to be so formal one la... but i think I shan't burst their bubble and let them enjoy dressing up for such an event. A number of them actually haven't watched anything at esplanade before, so its a first time experience for them. And i think its actually a great thing for them to have such an experience... at the expense of the school too! They dun even need to pay a single cent. :)

so anyway, here i am having my early dinner while waiting to meet the kids at Esplanade later (praying hard they can behave themselves!!!) , and having my treat of watching Dim Sum Dollies for free later. :)

What a great day this is.

A good day :) I guess it also depends on how you deal with it, and you are dealing in ways that makes the day an ideal one :)
