of cafes

i've been hanging out at cafes quite a bit recently, despite the fact that i really ought to be saving money. But with all the work to be done, i need to find a conducive place with the right ambience to get my stuff done. One of the best place is Millenia's TCC. Kallang Leisure Park is also not bad an alternative, because it is near base.

I try to do my work at base, but the room is rather claustraphobic. I can't seem to get any work done on my bed. and the wooden chair in our room is too hard. The room is too hot and well..its basically not conducive for doing work at all.

plus, i dunnoe wat's wrong with the connection at base. i get disconnected like every 3 mins. its truly frustrating.

heh. okie i should stop trying to justify myself.

anyway, i had a nice little chat with the lady making my coffee at starbucks at Kallang today. she's studying IT at a polytechnic.

I really like chatting with strangers. it makes me happy to just say hello and exchange a few pleasantries, and generally just be nice to the customer service staff.

afterall, a smile makes the world go round. :P
