from a distance

i skipped the night safari and went home instead.

all throughout the bus ride, i felt like maybe i shouldn't have gone home. Jie also mentioned that perhaps it was not necessary for me to go home and let them settle their problems themselves.

so when i reached home, i stood there and pray.

and realised i didn't bring my keys.

i could have smsed dad, or ring the bell... but i decided to go to the rooftop instead. and there, i heard them quarelling.

i stood there and listened. and waited.

until i heard her in the kitchen cooking dinner.

i waited somemore.

and then there wasnt anymore sounds. i think they were having dinner.

and so i left. went for a walk at east coast.

DJ came and sat by me to chat.

I walked back home to peek at them. coz dad sent me and sms and didnt reply me when i asked more. No sounds.

and so i took the bus back.

its such a struggle.

i wished i knew how to handle these things.

Babe there are some things that are beyond our control. Have you tried telling your mum how her behaviour affects you and your family? Perhaps she is unaware? Honestly, your mum seems like she needs some medical treatment for anxiety. My mum was something like this a couple of years ago, she was uptight, stressed, sleepless and emotional. But she sought help and was prescribed Lexapro and she could then see beyond her problems and that really helped her general well-being. You could encourage your mum to get help by telling her how much you love her and how much good this may do for her and your family. You can't force her but you can keep encourage her gently. I believe she will agree ultimately.

i think u handled it well. sometimes prayers can do much more than our words or presence. thanks for just being there.
